New Chapter For PoutineFest In New Hampshire

For seven years, PoutineFest in New Hampshire called Merrimack home. It’s hard to believe how quickly that time passed. What started as a small idea to celebrate poutine and Franco-American culture grew into an event that brought thousands of people together each year.

Along the way, we were fortunate to work with some incredible partners. The team at Anheuser-Busch in Merrimack welcomed us onto their beautiful campus and treated the event like it was their own. Their staff was thoughtful, organized, and always ready to help solve problems. Anyone who has ever organized a large public event knows how much those behind-the-scenes partnerships matter.

Quite simply, we loved working with the Anheuser-Busch team and we will truly miss working with them.

We also want to extend a sincere thank you to the Town of Merrimack. For seven great years, the town supported the event and welcomed thousands of guests who came to enjoy a simple dish with deep cultural roots. Communities don’t always take chances on new ideas, and Merrimack did, and we are grateful for that support.

Now that PoutineFest is leaving Merrimack, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter in the event’s history.

Over the past several months, the PoutineFest USA team has been traveling across New Hampshire searching for the right next home. We’ve visited venues, talked with local leaders, and explored communities across the Granite State that might be a good fit for the next chapter.

The goal hasn’t changed. PoutineFest exists to celebrate the culture, language, and traditions of Franco-American communities in New England. Finding the right place to continue that mission is worth the effort.

So while this chapter in Merrimack is coming to a close, the story of New Hampshire PoutineFest is far from over.

We’re excited for what comes next.
